Head Swim Coach
Coach Dan has been in or around the pool since he was little.  He began his involvement in the NVSL with the  “Little Rat”  program at Rutherford Pool. He swam competitively through the age of 18 including NVSL, club, and with the Woodson high school team where served as a captain.  In fact, his first competitive experience occurred during an NVSL A meet at Parliament.  He has worked with swimmers of all ages and ability levels in private and group settings.
His experience in and around pools has continued since the age of 15 when he started working as a lifeguard and progressed through higher levels of management with NVPools, a distinguished provider in the field.  You may have seen him helping NVPools host numerous Individual and Relay All Star meets at NV managed facilities.  He is a current National Swimming Pool Foundation Certified Pool Operator and holds current American Red Cross certifications in Lifeguarding/First Aid, CPR/ AED for the Professional Rescuer, and is a certified lifeguard trainer with the Red Cross.
When he is not around the pool, Coach Dan works as a Civics teacher at Lake Braddock where he also serves as the Assistant Varsity Swim Coach.  In his free time, he likes to golf, ski, and spend time with his yellow lab, Macho.  He looks forward to working with the families and swimmers at Parliament this summer and helping create more wonderful summertime memories.
